CreArte “ IN THE COURSE OF TIME THE MEDIUM AND THE MESSAGE IS THE SAME ”  /  Mixed media

Woody Allen said that time is the way that nature has so that everything doesn’t happen at the same time.

Time is what gives us a perspective on how we lived and who we are.

Personally it is a subject that I’ve been passionate about throughout my career and it has led me to explore different expressions of artistic creation such as design, painting,  film and theater.

In this work, my objective is to leave a graphic  testimony of the history of Colombia in  the last hundred years.

History recorded in traditional media such as the newspapers. I used these as a background where I was able to superimpose Graffiti and drip painting which are forms of art that represent a more contemporary language that has become part of our urban cityscape.

I executed this painting for a group show in the Museum of the University Jorge Tadeo Lozano in August of 2014. It is eight meters wide by four meters tall and is composed by thirty two modules eighty centimeters wide by eighty centimeters tall.

I would like to have this painting be part of a museum collection.
